League sources are indicating that the Knicks and Nets will likely share the honor of hosting All-Star Weekend in 2015, bringing the annual circus to New York City for the first time since 1998. It is not yet clear which events will be held where, but all indications point to the Saturday events being held in the Barclays Center, with the big game being played in the Garden on Sunday. The Friday events would likely be held in Brooklyn as well. Stay Tuned.
Update: This has been confirmed. The Knicks will get to host on Sunday, the Nets will get to host on Saturday… and I think it is a safe assumption that the Nets will get to host on Friday was well.
Sources are reporting that Mike Woodson was unhappy with JR Smith’s decision to dye his hair blonde, meaning that Smith will NOT be going with the Rodman/Metta look this season. No truth to the rumor that this decision was borne out of Woodson’s baldness-related envy of Smith.
But yeah, it was fun while it lasted, guys.

League sources are confirming that the Knicks have agreed to a one-year deal with Point Guard Beno Udrih for the veteran’s minimum. Udrih had been the Knicks top target for the past couple weeks, but the team viewed him as an unlikely acquisition due to the fact that other teams had more money to offer for his services. However, it appears that Udrih has agreed to take less money to come to New York. Udrih will be the 3rd point guard on the depth chart, but should see a solid amount of minutes if the Knicks continue to employ the 2-PG sets they so often turned to last season. Udrih is a veteran who can shoot the ball and pass very well; this seems like a great addition for the Knicks, who now have 1 more roster spot to fill.

ESPN sources are reporting that the Knicks have agreed to a contract with big man Jeremy Tyler. Tyler, 22, showed his extreme athleticism during the Summer League games and definitely deserves this roster spot. Tyler is raw, but can defend and rebound very well and is developing on the offensive end. With Bobby Brown flying to NYC to meet with the Knicks, and Tyler’s ink finally drying on a contract, it appears that the Knicks pretty much have their roster filled out. -Tommy Rothman
