Langston Galloway has been impressive in his first couple weeks as an NBA player, and made another terrific play in the Knicks’ (long-overdue) win on Monday:
It wasn’t quite a “Shumpert,” but it’ll do just fine.
The Knicks have traded JR Smith and Iman Shumpert according to reports. A three-way deal with the Knicks, Thunder, and Cavaliers appears to involve some mix of Smith, Shumpert, Samuel Dalembert, Lou Amundson, Dion Waiters, Reggie Jackson, and probably more. More details to follow, but it appears that JR Smith (And his $7 Million player option for next year) is out of New York, and probably on his way to team up with LeBron, Love, and Kyrie in Cleveland. More recent reports have Shumpert (Who the Knicks were expected to lose as a free agent after this season) in the deal as well. Reggie Jackson is now expected to go to the Knicks in the deal. -Tommy Rothman
UPDATE: It is now unclear if Jackson is in the deal. However, Samuel Dalembert IS in the deal.
*Story will be updated*
JR Smith has said and done some pretty questionable things over the years. So we shouldn’t be surprised when he goes off the wagon now and then. But his quote about defense after the Knicks’ loss to the Pistons on Friday was, well, impressively strange. Here’s what JR had to say:
“If you don’t get offended by somebody scoring on you then I don’t know what to tell you. That is like somebody breaking into your house and just taking your video game out of your hand and you just let it happen. I know if you do that to me, it ain’t going to happen. I love my Xbox.”
JR Smith might claim to love his Xbox, but given that defense is one of the weaker parts of his game, I suspect he’s more of a PlayStation guy…

The long wait is over.
Knicks forward/center Andrea Bargnani is expected to play on Wednesday night against the Clippers, in what would be his first game since he injured himself in a much-parodied (mostly by me– see the bottom of this article for another example) dunk attempt on January 22nd, 2014. Bargnani is not expected to start, but he should get some minutes, especially with the Knicks so short-handed right now. Some think Bargnani could be a good fit in the triangle, but thanks to his big contract, his lack of production thus far, and the price we paid to get him, he has drawn nothing but ire from Knicks fans up to this point in his New York tenure.

John Wall took a foul from Quincy Acy and made a rash decision. Acy immediately reminded him WHY it was a rash decision.Wall’s face in the photo above is one of a man who is genuinely afraid for his life. Watch a quick clip of the fight below:
UPDATE: Acy has been suspended 1 game
Carmelo Anthony helped break up the fight, presumably by reminding Acy that they could corner Wall in the locker room after the game.
